Dell also played small role in the ABC television series 'The Straits' (2010) and has been featured in several short films including ‘What’s My Scene’ (2016), ‘Brevity’ (2016), ‘Movie Night’ (2017), and ‘Mooroobool’ (2018). In 2017 Dell Beckman made his feature film debut in the indie film ‘Landfall’.

Dell started performing stand-up comedy in 2016 at an open mic night, which has since blossomed into a thriving career. During his short time on the comedy circuit, Dell has opened for Australian comedy legends Greg Fleet and Bob Franklin as well as American comic Al Del Bene. Dell was also a regular in the Cairns Dinner Theatre Show ‘Improv After Dark’ (2016) which showcased his talent for improv comedy. As well as being a regular in the local comedy rooms, Dell can be heard on the radio every morning on Triple M radio in his role as the morning street patrol, putting smiles on the faces of everyone he meets.

Dell has developed his craft in his home town Cairns, and is a consummate performer in the region, but he hopes to do much more on a national and international scale in the future.
